Joyce Garver Keller served as Executive Director of Ohio Jewish Communities for 25 years before retiring at the end of June 2015. She was a tireless advocate not only for Israel, but also for anyone in need (she was well known for saying that “Israel is number one, but not the only one”). She was a believer in bringing communities and individuals together to overcome differences and solve problems (after all, “A problem with a solution is not a problem”). However, her heart always belonged to the Jewish community and Israel, for which she had unlimited passion and love.
Joyce left an indelible mark on most anyone she came into contact with and impacted more lives than she could have ever imagined.
Below are public statements, eulogies and articles from some of those people.
